Youth Auxiliary


Mission: The mission of the Youth Auxiliary is to support the mission of Francis House through hands-on volunteering and other activities. The mission of Francis House is to provide a home and an extended family to people with terminal illnesses so they can die with dignity and experience the unconditional love of God.

C reated in 2005, the Youth Auxiliary of Francis House is a volunteer-run membership organization led by youth. With adult members of the Auxiliary of Francis House and staff members of Francis House as advisors, the Youth Auxiliary Board manages activities and projects for the entire membership that support the ministry of Francis House. Youth Board members receive training and experience on how to be effective volunteer leaders.

Youth Auxiliary activities include:

  • Being present to residents
  • Preparing and serving meals
  • Housework
  • Yardwork
  • Decorating for the holidays

Youth Auxiliary projects include:

  • Making bracelets and selling them as a fundraiser for Francis House
  • Organizing pantry drives throughout area schools and businesses
  • Writing notes of encouragement and prayer to residents

Youth Auxiliary provide volunteer support at Francis House events including:

  • Francis House’s signature event, There’s No Place Like Home
  • Francis House Auxiliary’s Silver Tea
  • Francis House Auxiliary’s Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon

Join Us!

If you become a member of the Youth Auxiliary, you will be invited to upcoming Youth Auxiliary volunteer projects. If you become a Youth Auxiliary Board member, you attend monthly meetings to manage and organize upcoming events.
