108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse

Francis House is comprised of two homes at 108 and 114 Michaels Avenue on the north side of Syracuse, New York. We are able to care for eight residents at a time in each home.

What To Know Before You Visit

We thank you for visiting your loved one at Francis House. The health, wellness, and safety of our residents, caregivers, staff, and visitors is our top priority. Please read the important visitation policies, here:

  1. Each resident may have two visitors at a time any time of the day, including during outdoor visitation.
  2. If a member of our care team deems that a resident is close to dying, based on signs and symptoms, up to four visitors at a time are allowed to sit vigil with the resident.
  3. Visitors must sign in and out when visiting Francis House.
  4. Together, our caregivers, staff, volunteers, and visitors will create a peaceful loving space for all of our residents.

When residents come to Francis House, our house becomes their home. Visiting hours are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Residents and guests may spend time in all the common areas of Francis House. If residents are able, they may also go outside and enjoy our porch, patio, or gazebo. Caregivers are present 24-hours a day.

We continually monitor information provided by federal, state and local government agencies and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and we may, without prior notice, need to amend our visitation policy in order to maintain a safe home for residents and staff. We will notify each residents’ health care proxy if this occurs. We appreciate your understanding.

About Our House

The original Francis House, a Bostonian built in 1918, now also houses our administrative offices. A building expansion project was completed on 108 Michaels Avenue in 1998 to create 8 resident bedrooms, a great room, kitchen, and chapel.

In 2003, 114 Michaels Avenue was built next to 108 Michaels Avenue and also includes 8 resident bedrooms, a great room, kitchen, and chapel.
