Francis House provides a home and a supportive extended family to people with terminal illnesses; those with a prognosis of three months or less to live. Our family of caregivers, staff, and volunteers surround each resident with unconditional love, guided by core values of compassion, acceptance, respect, and dignity.
Francis House welcomes all residents regardless of faith, ethnicity or ability to pay for their care.
Francis House, a community care home, is made up of two separate homes. Each home offers eight private resident bedrooms (16 rooms) overlooking our beautiful gardens, which are lovingly tended to by dedicated volunteers. Residents are encouraged to decorate their bedrooms and to bring in items from home; items that ground them in comfort, security, and familiarity.
All meals are homemade by the extraordinary skills of our volunteers. Besides a great room, each home has a dining room, an outdoor area accessible for all residents, and a sacred space where families may meet and reflect. Visiting hours are open any time for family and friends.
Our Quality, Individualized Care Includes:
- 24-hour caregiving
- home-cooked meals at any time of day
- pastoral care, when requested
- access to our Chapel, great rooms, lending libraries, and quiet spaces of reflection
- integrative therapies (such as pet and music therapy)
- birthday and holiday celebrations
We are grateful for the support that Nascentia Health provides Francis House. We would like to thank them for partnering with us to deliver exceptional care to our residents. Thank you to Solon Quinn Studios for capturing Francis House and our mission in such a beautiful way.
